LUCAS Training Information
South Dakota conducted the training and distribution phase of the Cardiac Care Project between April and August of 2014. In total, 18 regional training sessions have been conducted in over 13 different communities; approximately 200 devices have been distributed and over 450 healthcare workers have been trained.
To have been eligible to receive a device, each ambulance service and hospital was required to attend training through a regional training session. To view the training schedule, click here.
As part of the training rollout, each ambulance service and hospital received a thumb drive with important project information. Project documents, support materials, and videos were included. Below is information specific to the project.
